CZ collection for sale part 3

This page will be potos and information on the type 968 250 twinport. The following photos were taken during the rebuild. The ones below that were taken today. I bought this bike in rough condition and spent many hours and expense to bring this bike into condion. The motor was rebuild by Bertus. A new crank was needed along with a clutch and main shaft and many gears were replaced. The crank has the upgraded top end with roller bearings to fit later model pistons. It is fitted with a fourth over piston. It has a folding shifter. The frame was stripped and repainted. A new swingarm axle and bushings were installed. New wheels were built with Excel rims, CZ hubs and Buchanan SS spokes. A replica fiberglass tank is used with a custom leather hold down strap, although the original fiberglass tank goes with. I installed a electronic ignition and new side cover. It has a GP style seat with a correct looking custom cover. The handle bars are steel vintage style with Magura levers and custom Terry cables for all controls. The fenders are repo plastic but the airbox is original fiberglass. The carb is a Mikuni 32mm. The pegs are sidepipe style folding footpegs. The forks and dampers are all original as are the fork protectors. The springs are updated. The hubs are later model but I have the originals in fair condition. The headers are original, the chambers are "Pro-Form" pipes that have been ceramic coated. The shocks on the bike now are "Ohlins".
I have won many National and Regional events and Regional titles on this bike.
During the build.

With the original tank.

Fitting the airbox.

I had painted the tank blue when I first built it

Before I had the pipes coated.
These photos are how the bike looks today:

This blog will be a number of pages to show photographs of the bikes and the parts that go along with them. I will start with the Type 969. The following photos are how the bike appeared with all the original stuff on it. It came to me as a low hour bike is excellent original condition.

I bought the bike to race AHRMA's Classic 500 class and this bike is an excellent choice. I disassembled the whole bike and saved all the parts I could replace with reproduction or later model parts. Put aside were the wheels, tank, seat, shocks, # plates, fenders, airbox, carb and airboot, pegs, shifter, ignition, etc.
I built a new set of wheels with later model CZ hubs, Excel rims and Buchanan SS spokes. The rubber is Mich. S-12's. I tore down the engine and replaced all the bearings and seals and had the crank checked by Bertus. I installed a Mikuni 34mm carb. It has a 1st over piston in it and runs strong. I installed an electronic ignition. Folding shift lever, sidepipe style folding pegs, plastic repo fenders and airbox, GP style seat with custom cover, HI-Point alloy tank with custom leather hold down strap, Ohlin shocks in the rear. The pipes are in excellent shape with good chrome. I added period correct fork slider covers with the proper mount for this bike. New springs were added in the forks. The dampers are all original.
This bike has been a winner of many National and Regional events and series titles, 3rd in the National series and a winner of the " Best Presentation" at the Chehalis National Vintage Motocross.
The following photos are how the bike looks today in race trim:
